What Makes Minecraft Mystery Eggs Different?
Traditional collectables let you choose the exact character you want. Mystery Eggs change that experience by keeping the character hidden until you open the egg. That surprise is a big part of the appeal. You might discover a character you were hoping to find, add a new one to your collection or come across a rarer variant.
The TUBBZ treatment adds another playful element. Familiar Minecraft characters are transformed into rubber duck collectables while retaining the designs that make them instantly recognisable. That makes the collection easy to mix with other gaming toys, figures and Minecraft merchandise.

Meet the Standard Minecraft Mystery Egg Characters
The standard characters form the foundation of the collection. They cover familiar player characters, hostile mobs and friendly Overworld creatures, giving you a broad mix to discover.
Let's take a closer look at the standard line-up.
Steve
Steve is one of Minecraft's most recognisable player characters. He represents the exploration, crafting and survival that have become central to the Minecraft experience. Finding Steve gives you a classic Minecraft character for your collection and creates a natural starting point for a display.
Alex
Alex joins Steve as another familiar Minecraft player character. Her design is closely linked with the exploration and creative freedom that make Minecraft so popular. You can display Alex alongside Steve or use her as the player-focused part of a wider Minecraft collection.
Creeper
Creeper is arguably one of the most instantly recognisable mobs in Minecraft. Its distinctive green appearance makes it easy to identify at a glance. The TUBBZ version gives this familiar mob a playful twist while retaining its unmistakable Minecraft look.
Skeleton
Skeleton brings one of Minecraft's classic hostile mobs into the collection. Its skeletal appearance makes it instantly recognisable and gives your display another familiar mob. Place it alongside Creeper and Zombie to create a dedicated mob section.

Zombie
Zombie is another familiar hostile mob included in the collection. Its green skin and blocky appearance make it instantly recognisable to Minecraft fans. It also works naturally alongside Skeleton and Creeper, giving you three classic mobs to display together.
Pig
Pig brings a friendlier character to the line-up. Its familiar pink appearance represents the more peaceful side of the Minecraft Overworld. It can also add some visual variety to a display dominated by player characters and hostile mobs.
Snow Golem
Snow Golem brings its snowy appearance and carved pumpkin head to the collection. However, there is more than one version to discover. Snow Golem also appears as the collection's Ultra Rare variant, making it particularly interesting for collectors.
Wolf
Wolf is a familiar Minecraft companion and another friendly creature in the line-up. Its recognisable blocky design gives you another way to represent the Overworld and adds variety alongside the player characters and mobs.
Chicken
Chicken brings a little farmyard personality to the collection. Its white feathers and yellow beak make it instantly recognisable. It also helps show the variety of Minecraft's world, giving collectors something different from the game's more dangerous mobs.
Minecraft Mystery Eggs Rarities Explained
The collection becomes more interesting once you look beyond the standard characters. There are three rarity levels to consider: Standard, Rare and Ultra Rare. Standard characters make up the main line-up. Rare characters give collectors additional discoveries to hunt for, while the Ultra Rare variant provides an extra challenge.
| Rarity | Characters | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Steve, Alex, Creeper, Skeleton, Zombie, Pig, Snow Golem, Wolf, Chicken | Core characters in the collection |
| Rare | Enderman, Wither Skeleton | Harder-to-find characters |
| Ultra Rare | Snow Golem variant | Special variant to hunt for |
Understanding these categories helps you organise your collection as you discover new characters.
Rare Enderman: A Mysterious Discovery
Enderman brings a very different personality to the collection. Its tall shape, dark appearance and glowing purple eyes make it one of Minecraft's most distinctive mobs. Its unusual behaviour in the game has also helped make it a memorable character for fans. As a Rare character, Enderman adds another level to the Mystery Egg hunt. Finding one can also give your display a strong contrast against characters such as Alex, Pig and Chicken.
Rare Wither Skeleton: A Nether Favourite
Wither Skeleton brings the Nether into your collection. Its darker appearance gives it a different visual identity from the Overworld characters, making it a useful addition if you want your display to represent different parts of Minecraft. As another Rare character, Wither Skeleton is one to keep an eye out for as you work through your Mystery Eggs.
Ultra Rare Snow Golem: A Second Version to Find
Snow Golem is particularly interesting because it appears twice within the collection. The standard Snow Golem is part of the main character line-up, while a special Ultra Rare Snow Golem variant provides another version for collectors to discover. That means finding a Snow Golem does not necessarily mean you've finished hunting for this character. If you're aiming to complete every variant, the Ultra Rare version gives you another box to tick.
How to Build Your Minecraft Mystery Eggs Collection
There is no single way to collect the range. You might want to discover every standard character first. This gives you a strong foundation before you start looking for the Rare and Ultra Rare versions. Alternatively, you can simply open each egg and enjoy whatever you discover. The surprise is part of the experience, after all.
If you find duplicates, you can keep them, trade them with other collectors or give them to another Minecraft fan. This can make duplicates useful rather than frustrating.
Create a Character-Themed Display
Once you've collected several characters, think about how you want to arrange them. One simple approach is to group the player characters together. Steve and Alex can form the centre of your display, representing the player experience. You could then create a mob section with Creeper, Skeleton and Zombie. Pig, Wolf and Chicken can represent the friendlier side of the Overworld.
Finally, give your Rare characters a little extra space. Enderman and Wither Skeleton can be grouped separately to highlight their rarity, while the Ultra Rare Snow Golem can take a prominent position.
Mix Minecraft TUBBZ With Toys and Figures
Your Mystery Egg collection can also become part of a larger gaming display. Mix the characters with Minecraft toys, figures and other collectables to create more depth. The compact size of Mystery Egg TUBBZ makes them particularly useful for filling smaller spaces around larger pieces. You could also combine them with other TUBBZ formats. Larger TUBBZ can create a focal point, while Mystery Egg characters add smaller details around them. This gives you plenty of options as your collection grows.
Tips for Collecting the Rare Variants
- If you're particularly interested in Rare and Ultra Rare characters, keep your checklist separate from your standard collection.
- Mark Enderman and Wither Skeleton as Rare targets, then keep a separate box for the Ultra Rare Snow Golem variant.
- It is also worth remembering that the mystery format means you cannot know exactly which character is inside a sealed egg. The surprise is part of the product experience.
- If you discover a duplicate, consider trading it with another collector. This can help you find characters you still need while giving someone else the chance to complete their collection.
Why the Variants Make Collecting More Fun
A standard collection can be satisfying, but variants give you another reason to keep exploring. The Rare Enderman and Wither Skeleton characters introduce a different level of discovery. The Ultra Rare Snow Golem adds another goal for collectors who want to track down every version. This also gives your final display more variety. Instead of having a collection where every character has the same rarity, you can highlight the pieces that took longer to discover.
Why Minecraft Mystery Eggs Make Great Collectables
Minecraft has always been built around discovery. You explore new areas, encounter unexpected mobs and find resources as you go. Mystery Eggs capture that same sense of discovery in a physical collection. The TUBBZ style adds a playful twist, turning familiar characters into rubber duck collectables without losing the details that make them recognisable. Whether you are a Minecraft fan, a gaming collector or someone who enjoys toys and figures with a difference, the collection gives you plenty of reasons to start hunting.
Final Thoughts
The Minecraft Mystery Eggs TUBBZ Collection gives you 12 characters and variants to discover, with plenty of variety along the way. Steve, Alex, Creeper, Skeleton, Zombie, Pig, Snow Golem, Wolf and Chicken form the standard line-up. Rare Enderman and Wither Skeleton add another challenge, while the Ultra Rare Snow Golem variant gives collectors one more version to hunt down. The surprise format is what makes the collection different. You never know exactly which character you will discover next, and that keeps each opening exciting.
So, make a checklist, clear some space on your shelf and start your Minecraft Mystery Egg hunt. You never know which character could hatch next.
